WCD and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Ministries are jointly working to empower Indian women with skilling in every segment technology and business. Minister Smriti Irani and other ministers have expressed their view and future plans in the National Conference held in New Delhi today. The agenda of the conference was Policy Framework for Skilling of Women and Children.

Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey said that since only 17.5% of women can participate in the labor force, skill development is critical for women empowerment for not only a positive impact on the economy but also overall development with social recognition, confidence, and financial independence.
