The Punjab government has launched a unique Job Helpline number for the unemployed youth in the state – the first-of-its-kind in the country. This came as a part of the government’s flagship program ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ program.
To support this initiative, the government has setup a 110-seat backend call centre that aims to call 75,000 mobile and landline numbers daily.

The program will help to create synergies among the departments of Employment Generation & Training, Technical Education and Industries to create job opportunities for unemployed youth as per the emerging needs of the local industry in the state. The rural youth is likely to get the most benefit from this program.
