The fourth budget of Modi 2.0, Union Budget 2022, was released today by Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister. Here is what the Union Budget for this year has in store for Skilling and Education;

States will be encouraged to revise syllabi of agricultural universities so that the needs of the natural, zero-budget & organic farming, and modern-day agriculture can be met. PM eVidya, the one class, one TV Channel program will expand from 12 to 200 TV channels. All states will be enabled to use regional languages to provide supplementary education to students in class 1 to 12. Digital universities on hub and spokes models will be set up. In order to make up for the loss of formal education during the pandemic, the 1-Class-1-TV Channel will also provide supplementary education. The National Skill Qualification Framework or the NSQF will also be launched for catering to the dynamic industry needs. Read more.
