The launch of Assam Skill Development Mission, 2020-2021 was marked by a ceremony in Katabari office. The program was inaugurated online by Chandra Mohan Patowary, the minister of skill, employment and entrepreneurship department, visible across 33 districts.

The minister mentioned that skill development should be given importance so that employment rates amongst the youth can be curbed. All ASDM centers across Assam were closed during the lockdown, which have now been reopened while adhering to all COVID 19 precautions.
According to ASDM the launch ceremony was organized to reinstate faith in the training program and for training providers to gear up forge ahead in high spirit to execute skilling activities.
