India needs to acquire a skilled ecosystem, with exceptional quality manpower! Only ‘Skilling, Upskilling, and Reskilling’ can make it happen!
The IITs (Industrial Training Institutes) can contribute a lot to this cause. Our IITs are run by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), and they can make it compulsory for students to undergo the Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council’s (IESC) training programs. Such endeavours will help the students cultivate the requisite skills. Likewise, students can even choose them as a career option, if it excites them.

IESC is also keenly working on preparing women employees with skills like operations and mechanics. No matter what measures we employ, India’s demographic dividend must mature into a skilled society to encounter the future!
