At the L&T’s Skill Trainers Academy (STA) inauguration, Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Mahendra Nath Pandey provided insight on the future of skilling in India. The STA is part of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) and would primarily provide short-term skill training for trainers in Mumbai. The whole programme concludes in 17 weeks, with a 10-day classroom training followed by a 15-week on-the-job training, designed by Singapore Polytechnic.

This is a certification training programme with a validity of 2 years. This training programme would be beneficial in helping create a nationally and globally valuable skill force. The programme has so far successfully trained around 150 individuals. Read More.
