Kerala Students Volunteer for online vaccine registration 

Snehasanjeevani, is a program launched by the National Service Scheme (NSS) Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) wing, which is aimed at making students involve in social activities. The scheme has made around Kerala’s 15,000 VHSE NSS students, to help people they know to register online for COVID-19 vaccination.
“They must not remain detached from what is happening around them,” said Ranjith P., the program coordinator. Snehasanjeevani has been launched so that each student, who is well-equipped for online classes (with smartphones) can register a few people around them who are unaware of how to register for the vaccination. Read more

Krishi Vigyan Kendra organizes Skill Training of Rural Youth (STRY) program

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, in association with State Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) and National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad organized a one-week-long Skill Training of Rural Youth (STRY) program on seed production, and poultry rearing and management.
During the inaugural meeting, Bendangjungla, ACTO stressed the importance of the sense of entrepreneurship development through these skill training programs and propagation of technology to the rural youth, so that they can find a means of livelihood for themselves.  The first half featured Seed Production of cereals and vegetables, and the second section emphasized various aspects related to Poultry Rearing and Management. RITES: Applications are now open for Apprenticeship Training 

The Rail India Technical and Economic Services (RITES) Limited is inviting applications for the Apprenticeship Program for the year 2021-2022. The apprenticeship program for 156 posts is open, which will be for a year, and won’t be extended beyond that. 

Applications are open for Degree, Diploma, and IIT pass-outs. Interested candidates may go through their official website, and eligible candidates can apply till 12th May 2021. Read more.

New Dimensions to Educational Sectors

The online higher education platform UpGrad recently collaborated with Amrita University (Vishwa Vidyapeetham) and added two prime courses to their pool of online courses. Likewise, the UPES also introduced new UG and PG programs under its Engineering and Computer Science departments. 

Mindspark conducted a 26-week-long Maths Live Classes for 3 to 8th-grade students (all boards) and they will continue to conduct live classes twice a week for an hour after school hours. Whereas, Internshala has emerged as a prosperous firm with around 63,000 students enrolled online in 2020. Added to this data, 21,000 women upskilled themselves in the same year with Internshala. Read more.
