The Union Minister for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development visited Bhadradri Kothagudem, an ‘aspirational district’, in Telangana to hold a review meeting with the District Administration officials and brief them about how the Government is committed in its efforts towards the development of such aspirational districts. “These Districts are not just catching up but are setting benchmarks for others to follow. The Narendra Modi Government is changing the trajectory of development of these districts. Now, the focus is also on ensuring Skilling and employment for our youth through the Skill India Mission,” he said while talking about the focus of the Government on outcome-based skilling as well as creating opportunities for entrepreneurship as well as employment.
HAL and ASSC collaborate to organise skill development conclave
A skill development conclave was put together at the HAL Management Academy by the Aviation Sector Skill Council or the ASSC in collaboration with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited or HAL on the request of Dr K Sivan, the former chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation or ISRO, with the purpose boosting skill upgrades. Dr K Sivan also felicitated various divisions of HAL with skill awards. The panel discussions held at the conclave presented various topics like ‘Post-covid rebound in Indian aviation and carving skills for future’, ‘India can be a global skills hub in aerospace technology’, and ‘talent resource challenges in drone technology and bridging the gap through Skill India’. Apprentice-manufactured aerospace components were also put on display as another highlight of the conclave.

Bank of India Recruitment 2022: Notification out for 696 Officer posts, Check eligibility, salary details
Bank of India or BOI has announced 696 new vacancies available in the posts of Statistician, Economist, Senior Manager, Manager, Credit Officers, Credit Analysts, Risk Manager, IT Officer – Data Centre, and Tech Appraisal. Out of the selected 696 candidates, 594 will be offered a full-time contract, whereas the rest 102 will be hired on a contractual basis. BOI will be inviting applications online starting 26th April 2022 through 10th May 2022 on their official website, which also provides all other details regarding eligibility and examinations. The examinations will be conducted online as well in the cities of Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jammu, Patna, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Shimla, Panaji, Bhopal, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Raipur and Dehradun.
