We recently had a Q&A session with Vinay Pradhan, Vice President of Human Resources at Dixon Technologies Limited. Dixon is one of the largest home-grown design-focused solutions company that engages in the manufacturing of consumer durable products, lighting, and mobile phones in India. We talked with Mr. Pradhan about the apprenticeship model in the industry and how it is benefiting their organization.

During the interview, Mr. Pradhan mentioned that robotics and animation are the emerging trends in their industry while innovation and talent are going to be the growth drivers. He mentioned that “Talent plays a very vital role in the achievement of organisational goals and that they have set up in house skill training centre for talent creation and development”.
He further added that they are leveraging apprenticeships to induct fresh talent as apprentices for talent creation. “It helped us to create future talent through lesser cost,” he added further.
