A division of United Technologies Corp., Pratt & Whitney which started its India operations in 2015, has over 5000 student days of training under its belt at its customer training centre in Hyderabad. The training centre is one of three centers of the company globally, and imparts specialised DGCA and EASA Part 147 approved training in airline maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), to enhance skill development and build an industry-relevant workforce in India’s burgeoning aviation sector. 

Recognising the importance of Skill India as a pre-requisite to Make in India, Pratt & Whitney works with over five state governments including signing a Memorandum of Understanding with top global universities to impart aerospace and aviation skill development programmes in India. Additionally, many prominent aerospace organisations like Belcan, have announced their support to Pratt & Whitney by recruiting trainees trained by the company.
