The rubber industry is benefiting from skill development initiatives with increased productivity in the plantation sector and entrepreneurship. The safety process for road transport has also improved.

RSDC is a skilling council for the rubber sector promoted by AIRIA and ATMA. It has collaborated with NSDC to provide special skilling. The courses are focused on skill/reskill development & training needs of the rubber industry. Govt. has allocated ₹250 crores to reskill about 10 lakh people in the rubber. Here people are taught about plantation techniques to improve production.
