Odisha has been making major strides towards skill development in the last 5 year and their latest move was the WSC (World skill centre). It was inaugurated on the 105th birth anniversary of legendary chief minister Biju Patnaik. The WSC will be able to make the youths globally employable in different fields through skill training.

With a budget of Rs 1342.2 crore, the WSC aims to act as the centre for industry partnership and landing point for industries in Odisha for their employment needs. WSC would concentrate on acting as a finishing school for ITI and Polytechnic students through manufacturing and services programmes. Read more.
