Phase one of the partnership will see the NSDC rolling out KnackApp to 20,000 skill seekers in NSDC-accredited Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras that operate under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship’s flagship skilling program the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. With easy to read instructions aimed at youth with low literacy skills, KnackApp’s solution will support matching candidates undergoing vocational skills training with more than 90 careers options across 17 industry sectors. Both students and those looking to upskill will be matched to jobs in high growth sectors such as retail, sales, hospitality and construction. Additionally, matching will also take place for higher technical ability roles in cybersecurity and data science as well as technical team members of various start-ups.
