Recently, National Employability Through Apprenticeship Programme (NETAP) has released “The Apprenticeship Outlook and Index”, a comprehensive six-month forecast of trends of apprenticeship hiring in India. The report is an in-depth study of the current levels of apprenticeship recruiting and employer expectations about hiring. It exhibits FMCG / D is one of the leading sectors hiring apprentices. The report for April to September also shows positive growth in apprentice requirement has improved the productivity in the industry.

According to the survey, six-month or one-year apprentices are preferred by the employers over short-term ones to meet the company’s skill requirement better.
