Nationwide implementation of ‘NEP 2020’ on the fast track

The implementation processes of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, are on the fast track. The Ministry of Education has recognized 181 tasks, which have to be completed under the NEP 2020.  

“Deadlines for every task will be fixed and communicated to individual state agencies. A live dashboard will be set up, and the ministry will monitor the activities on a monthly and quarterly basis,” said an official. And it is expected to begin from June 2021 onwards, with a special focus on college and university-level changes in 2021.

Rajasthan gets new Skill Development Centres

Times Professional Learning (TPL) has partnered with the Union government and the Rajasthan State government to conduct skill development programs for the youth of the state. Apart from this, they have also set up Skill Development Centres across the state to give skill training for the local population. These skill development centers will facilitate not just employment but also self-employment opportunities for the trained youth. 

Anish Srikrishna, CEO, Times Professional Learning said that bridging the gap between talent supply and employability is the need of the hour. “We recognized skill development as an important area of focus as part of our efforts in the development of the socio-economic conditions of our country,” he added. Read more.

Odisha to impart skill training to its best teachers

With the help of a special program initiated by the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, the Odisha government has decided to give skill training to its best higher secondary school teachers. The program is conducted under the S&ME Department through Talent Development Centre, Science and Society Programme, IISc. 

The heads of all government, non-government, and aided higher secondary schools have been asked to submit names of their best teachers for the same. The training schedules will be announced after May 29th, after the registration is closed. Read more.
