Skill India Mission the MSDE implementing programmes to provide short term Skill Development training
The MSDE has implemented many demand driven programmes under the Skill India Mission, such as the Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS), Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), and National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS). Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India, has authorised the implementation of these programmes. Read more.

BTech and BE graduates are most employable
There has been a significant rise in skilled population of India lately, that being said, not even half of the total number of graduates have enough hireable skills. BTech or BE graduates turn out to be the most employable as per the India Skills Report 2022, followed by MBA holders. Polytechnic and MCA are the least employable according to the same report.
