As per an MoU signed between India and the United Arab Emirates or the UAE, a Skill India International Centre was launches in order to boost skill development among the youths of both countries and to deepen relations on side-lines as well. This international skill centre will help Indian youth to pursue employment overseas in port operations, logistics, and allied areas. Speaking at the occasion, Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister for Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, and Education, said that the government is striving to create a workforce that is qualified, able, and reliable which would drive economic success to other countries of the world as well. Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, the Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and SMEs for UAE, also stressed on how important skilled professionals are in the UAE and how this association will meet the upcoming skills needed by both the labor markets.
ONGC extends last date of application for 3614 apprenticeship posts
The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited or the ONGC currently has 3614 vacancies for apprentices as per the Apprentices Act 1961, the last date to apply for which has been extended to May 22, 2022. The registration began on April 27, 2022 on the official website at ongcindia.com. The age limit of those looking to apply is 18 to 28 as of May 22, 2022. Interested candidates can also find other important information such as process of application, experience required, education qualifications, selection criteria, etc., on the website. The results of all applications will be released on May 23, 2022.

DLF Members receive 4-month upskill training from Summer Fields School
The support staff and community members of DLF needed to upgrade their skills, and so, the Summer Fields School had organised a 4-month long vocational training workshop for basic computer language. With this workshop, the learners were equipped with online communication tools, specialised in MS Office, e-mail, and use of internet. During this session, the trainees also got to participate in seminars for soft skills for better interpersonal skills and verbal communication. Reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills were sharpened through English grammar lessons. This workshop concluded with an exam that Jan Shikshan Sanstha or the JSS conducted. The participants of the workshop received a certificate of completion from Summer Fields School and another certificate from JSS based on their performance during an award ceremony held last week.
