Labour and Employment Minister, Thokchom Radheshyam, recently emphasized on the importance of apprenticeship. During his speech at an event, he mentioned that :
Apprenticeship is one of the most efficient ways to develop skilled manpower in the country. He said that human resource is the most important resource of any country, and the onus lies with everyone to train and upskill them to have a developed nation.
And why not? With the median age of the country being 27 years, the more skillful the population we have, the better would be the economic output of the country.

He concluded his speech with the message that each profession is unique and has its own set of requirements. One should keep updating knowledge and skill to stay on top of the game, the minister mentioned during his speech at the Apprenticeship Pakhwada, an Apprenticeship Awareness Program organized by the Manipur Society for Skill Development.
