An ‘Apprentice Fair’ is scheduled to be held later this week in order to provide better employment opportunities for the pass-outs of ITI in Uttar Pradesh where companies like Yamaha and Samsung are said to participate. Manoj Singh, the president of the Government Industrial Training Institute in Noida, said, “Interested candidates can participate in the apprentice fair between 10 am and 3 pm on April 21. They would be required to bring along the original copies of their documents and certificates along with photocopies.” He also added that other than Yamaha and Samsing, companies like AxD, Siscom Corporation, Nobleco, Dixon, Graziano, Denso, Minda Group, C&H, Etc. will also be a part of this ‘Apprentice Fair’. Dharmendra Pradhan unveils India’s first International Skill Centre
With the aim of imparting skill training of international standards for enhanced overseas opportunities for the youth workforce, the Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan, inaugurated the first Skill India International Centre of the country on the campus of Skill Development Institute or SDI which was set up in partnership with the NSDC International or NSDCI. This training centre is said to provide facilities for high-quality training according to the demands of international companies in countries such as Canada, UAE, Australia, as well as other Gulf Cooperation Council regions. “The international training centre and two world-class national academies at SDI will augment India’s ambition of developing a workforce that not only meets the demand of the country, but also positions India as a leading provider of workforce to the world,” said Pradhan at the launch of National Academy for Skill Teachers and World Skills Academy.
