Learning Centre for underprivileged youth and women
In order to make develop employability and entrepreneurship skills among underprivileged youth as well as women, the Global President of Rotary International, Shekhar Mehta, has inaugurated a Learning Centre which will provide training programmes free of cost. Rotary International is a volunteer service organisation that helps more than 1.4 million members all over the world. At the occassion, Mehta also revealed that the theme for the year 2021-22 is ‘Serve to change life’. With the objective of imparting courses in skill development in areas that are of high demand, but the programme also tried to develop communications as well as personal excellence skills that will help in employability of these underprivileged sections. 6-Point demands of All India ITI Organization aims to out an end to oppressive policies
A 6-point demand list in order to battle the oppressive and dogmatic policies of the DGT against the ITI students were put forward by Dr BS Tomar, the president of the All India ITI Organization, at a conference attended by the All India ITI Students and the ITI Director Joint Organization. Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, and DGT Neelam Shammi Rao (IAS) were also invited to be a part of this conference. More than 40 lac students are waiting to complete their examinations, they have proposed to declare the results immediately on either promotional basis or on the basis of OMR system or practical and ED examinations.
