Kerala’s largest Skill park instituted by ASAP Community will be inaugurated by CM Pinarayi Vijayan on 20th September. ASAP which expands as the Additional Skill Acquisition Programme is a venture by Kerala’s Education Department that focuses on sharpening the students’ skills to make them more employable. The skill park in Palayad is the first skill park built with the aid of the Asian Development Bank. The charge of the skill park goes to Netter Technical Training Foundation (NTTF). The park offers courses including Tool Engineering and Digital Manufacturing Diploma, Tool Designing Post Diploma, Precision and CNC Machining, Conventional and CNC Vertical Milling, Conventional and CNC Turning and more. The modern architecture along with the latest technologies make the skill park one of a kind. Those who complete the courses will be given a diploma certificate and various skill certificates by NSDC.

A Helping Hand for the Downtrodden; Manipur CM announces a Monthly allowance Plan

As a gesture to honour Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 72nd birthday, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh today announced a monthly payment of Rs 500 for those with a 60–80% disability, effective in October. In addition, teaching and learning materials, tricycles, wheelchairs, and other mobility aids were distributed to people with disabilities throughout the event (PwDs). The certificate presentation ceremony for the skill development training programme for state returnees as a result of COVID-19 was also attended by the Manipur chief minister. The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, a flagship programme of the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, is said to be the umbrella programme for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Skill India” initiative.
