Industry Integrated Degree programmes launched to keep up with changing industry requirements

An MoU was signed between the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India or ESSCI and the Seacom Skills University or the SSU in Kolkata for developing new Industry Integrated Degree Programmes depending on current industry requirements and trends under the New Education Policy. The aim of this MoU is to offer top-notch skill training, multi entry/exit that incorporates NSQF Qualification Packs, and industry exposure with the help of apprenticeship programmes. Read more

State Skill Competitions receive 22,000 registrations 

A two-day State Skill Competitions is being organized by the Koneru Lakshmaiah Deemed-to-be University and the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Association (APSSDC) where 22,000 youths have already registered. The competitions were inaugurated on Tuesday by Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Adviser to the Government, on Tuesday in the Vaddeswaram village of Guntur District. Winners of these State-Level competitions will move on to National-Level and then to the World Skills Contest taking place in China in September 2022. Read more.

New Delhi: State Skills Competitions to identify candidates for regional rounds

The second phase of the State-Level Skills competitions was conducted by the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University to identify candidates for the regional rounds in 13 different domains ranging from bakery to mobile application development. Top 6 candidates were selected from each domain through an online multiple-choice questions test. Those selected to proceed further will undergo rigorous training before appearing for the regionals rounds sometime in September. Read more.
