India is giving its migrants the licence to skill

The ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship (MSDE) has planned to impart skills training and certification to three lakh migrant workers in 116 districts across six states to the migrant workers in their home states with the objective of providing job and self-employment opportunities.

The move is in line with the recently unveiled Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan and comes after the government has mapped reverse migrants in the states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Odisha for their skill sets.
