For the first time ever, Indian students can now pursue two degrees at the same time, according to the country’s higher education regulator. This can be done physically or digitally, or even as a mix of both. Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, the chairman of the University Grants Commission or the UGC, is noted to have said that this move will create more flexibility, expand knowledge base, and promote multidisciplinary education as well. This is different from dual degree programs as it allows for two separate degrees, even a master’s and graduation degree to be done simultaneously.
