Under the Skill India Mission program, five districts are being identified in Bihar for Skill Development Centres. These districts are:
Lakhisarai
Nawada
Gaya
Sitamarhi
Purnia

Each district magistrate will be allocated a fund of INR 10 crore to begin the construction work. The Labour Resource Minister mentioned that INR 2.6864 crore has been approved to build 50-bed women hostel in Women ITI Khagaria and Sasaram. These are being constructed keeping in mind the need for women ITI trainees. These Skill Development Centres will help the youths to get skilled and find suitable employment opportunities.
