G-15 and G-7 to foster stronger relations

In a three-day summit at Kuala Lumpur, the leaders of developing countries created a conversation about the trade issues and globalisation efforts, emphasising on issues that affect the developing world. During the retreat, it was agreed by all leaders that these kind of interfaces between G-15 and G-7 should be held regularly to exchange ideas. The chairman of G-7, Jacuqes Chirac, the French President, wrote a letter to the present chairman of the g-15, Mahathir Moammed, the Malaysian Prime Minister, saying that he was “very much in favour of a stronger relationship between the two groups.” Read more.

The East Central Railways completes the second batch of skill training to 70 more

The East Central Railway or the ECR has successfully completed training the second batch for Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana at 3 centres – Samastipur and Harnaut in the Nalanda District and Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction in Mughalsarai. The second batch had 70 youth trained, bringing the total to 146 youths. Rajesh Kumar, the chief public relations officer of the ECR announced that 15 people were trained in electrical trade at Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, 38 in welding and machinist trades at Harnaut, and 17 in fitter trade at Samastipur. J&K HED issues guidelines for implementing skill enhancement programmes in colleges

The Higher Education Department or the HED in Jammu & Kashmir, has issued guidelines to implement skill enhancement programmes in the Government Degree Colleges across the state. This was initiated after noticing that degree colleges are falling short of awarding skill completion certificates, despite having NSQF courses embedded in the curriculum. Read more.
