ETG’s Industry Skill Booster Program to bridge Industry-Academia Gap

Engineering upskilling startup, Elite Techno Groups or ETG, has launched an Industry Skill Booster program or ISB with the aim of bridging the Industry-Academia gap. This program will provide free training in more than 12 domains such as AI/ML/Data Science, Automotive & EVs, Industry 4.0, and Design & CFD for over 1lac students. Having SAE, Altair, and ANSYS as partners, ISB commenced on 15th December 2021 and is scheduled to conclude on 26th January 2022. The IndiaSkills 2021 National Competition, organised by the National Skill Development Corportation or the NSDC in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is going to be held at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi between 6th and 10th January 2022. This competition will host over 500 participants, having qualified state-level and then regionals, from 26 states and union territories after having more than 2.5lac registrations from all over the country. IndiaSkills will cover 54 skills that include cyber security, cloud computing, autobody repair, water technology, beauty therapy, floristry, painting, decorating, social care and health. This competition has also introduced seven emerging new-age skills like additive manufacturing, robot systems integrations, digital construction, renewable energy, industry 4.0, industrial design technology, and mobile app development. The winners of this nation-wide competition will receive multi-level industry training in forms of boot camps, project-based training, exposure visits, industry and corporate training, personality development, and mind coaching. Ambuja Cement Foundation’s SEDI completes training for 74000 Indian youth

The Ambuja Cements Foundation, the corporate social responsibility division of Ambuja Cement Limited, has successfully trained more than 74,000 Indian youths through their Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Institutes or SEDI, with 35 centres across 10 states. Speaking of their initiatives towards skilling in rural India, the MD & CEO of Ambuja Cements, Neeral Akhoury said, “This is a testimony to our ethos of contributing to our country’s Skill India initiative.” The Director & CEO of Ambuja Cement Foundation, Pearl Tiwari, also added, “Through SEDI, we aim to motivate youth and equip them for both, jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities, enabling job creation and economic progress,” while talking about how SEDI is able to bridge the existing skill gap by providing the youth with skilling opportunities of wide range.
