A group of employees from the pharmacy sector has come together to develop an integrated degree apprenticeship program for the pharmacists.
“An integrated degree apprenticeship for pharmacists will provide choice for individuals wanting to train as a pharmacist in parallel to the traditional route in order to widen participation and access to the profession,” Claire Flavell and Vanessa Kingsbury, co-chairs of the group, said in a statement.

The group of employees will be working together with universities, professional bodies, arms-length bodies and the GPhC and consider the financial viability of the apprenticeship.
