The gap between the skills and industry requirement is glaring which is leading to a large portion of the youth in India “unemployable”. 39% of the employers in India have raised a concern about acute skill shortage as the main reason for vacancies in organizations. It is high time that we aim to bridge this gap.

We need to start designing industry-focused curriculum and programs while the onus also lies with the students to hone their skills. Facilitating OJT, internships, and apprenticeships are the only way forward to resolve the employability crisis.
