The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India or CREDAI has 12,500 members across 205 cities and 23 states. CREDAI in partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI) is on a mission to skill 13,000 construction workers under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) scheme by the end of 2020.
This partnership acknowledges an acute shortage of skilled construction workers with CREDAI estimating that the real estate and construction sector alone will require 45 million additional skilled workers over the next decade.

Additionally, under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Awas Yojna, CREDAI will train an additional one lakh workers in vocational skills in construction and allied trades. Skilled workers in construction command a higher wage premium compared to their unskilled counterparts. CREDAI also conducts regular on-site training programmes on their members’ building sites.
