Dr. K.P. Krishnan, a senior member of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India at a summit themed “Reimagining the future of Higher Education” emphasized on the importance of integration of various aspects of education with the component of vocational livelihood. Stressing on formulating public policy and change of government’s approach towards vocational training and skilling, he said it was a must to overcome the issues of employability in India.

He also commented that there would be efforts aimed at a complete shift from the traditional wage-paying employment system to an eco-system wherein jobs would be created on the basis of entrepreneurship and self-employment.
