An integrated teacher’s training program has been suggested by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) to improve the teaching skills of the teachers in government run schools in Jammu and Kashmir. In fact, the ministry has also identified the need of training to head teachers and head masters as well.

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is preparing a standardized comprehensive training module to help teachers in preparing school-based assessments. The necessity for this training came into the forefront after a survey result came out conducted by the National Achievement Survey.
