Central Coalfields Limited opens 539 positions for trade apprentices
Central Coalfields Limited as begun takin in applications for trade apprenticeships with a one-year training period for about 539 positions. Those who have passed the 10th grade and have an ITI certification in the appropriate field are eligible. In the field of accounts, PMKVY certificate holders in banking, financial services, or BCom and PG in finance can also apply. The age limit for aspiring candidates should be 18 to 30 years as of 20th of November, with the exceptions for SC/ST category with relaxation of 5 years and OBC (NCL) with relaxation of 3 years. Candidates can access the application forms on the official website, the deadline for which is December 5th. Skill schools to be opened in every district for girls if Congress wins in UP
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, General Secretary of the Congress, has made a statement that skill development schools will be opened for girls in every district of Uttar Pradesh, giving tribute to the ‘veeranganas’ such as Jhalkari Bai, if the party wins in the upcoming assembly elections. “Salute to ‘veerangana’ Jhalkari Bai. The Congress has decided that if it forms the government in the state, skill schools will be opened in every district for girls in the name of ‘veeranganas’ like Jhalkari Bai,” she tweeted on the birthday of the freedom fighter. The politician has also made other promises for the upliftment and involvement of women in society like providing them with 40% tickets in the upcoming UP elections, awarding those who pass Class 12 with smartphones, and electric scooters to those who complete their graduation. Haryana CM awards Lotus Petal Foundation the 2nd Vishwakarma National Skill Excellence Award-2021
A Gurugram-based NGO, the Lotus Foundation, has been awarded the 2nd Vishwakarma National Skill Excellence Award-2021 for their part in contributing to the Innovative Teaching Pedagogy in Higher Education in Institution/Industry Category. They have received recognition for the Pratishthan Learning Centre which is a high impact intervention that provides fast-track education in five years and skilling programmes to children who are underprivileged so that they are prepared for jobs in the formal sector. The focus of this programme is on those who, due to unfortunate situations or the fractured schooling system, are lagging behind in education. This programme allows them to complete Class 6 to 10 in just three years, with the addition of a one-year vocational skill training under the Jeevika Programme. Read more.
