CBSE launches new skill module on digital citizenship

A Skill Module has been launched by the Central Board of Secondary Education or the CBSE for students of grade 6 to 9 on ‘Digital Citizenship’ which is a 3-level curriculum relying on activity-based and experiential learning. Students will get to apply these concepts and theories to real-world situations by means on activities, reflections, and case studies. This course will cover cyber security, digital etiquette, cyber bullying, using the internet for social good, information literacy, as well as concepts such as the metaverse, AR/VR, and AI. “The curriculum has been designed to ensure that teachers of all subjects and grades can easily understand and train their students to become responsible digital citizens. Teachers will be provided with a ‘Teachers’ Handbook’ and ‘Classroom Material’ to make the facilitation process easy,” read an official notice by the CBSE to the heads of affiliated schools regarding orientation and Teachers’ training programme on the new subject.

Eduauraa Signs an MoU with Himachal Pradesh Government to Provide ITI Students with Free Education on Employability Skills

According to a recent MoU signed between Eduauraa Technologies and the Department of Technical Education, Vocational and Industrial Training in Himachal Pradesh, two free courses on spoken English and employability skills will be provided to the students of State government it is. Master trainers will first avail these courses who will then train 25,000 students in using the platform. “The need of the hour is for students of technical institutes to be well-versed with employability skills. Good communication skills are especially needed when students pursue further education. Eduauraa is a platform that’s providing good spoken English courses, which in the long run shape students to be equipped with employability skills,” commented Vivek Chandel, the Director of the Directorate of Technical Education in Sundernagar.

MBAM teams up with ILO to boost skills development, employability in construction sector

For boosting the leadership in the construction sector for skill development, increased employability, and workers’ career development, especially women and youth, the Master Builders Association Malaysia or the MBAM and the International Labour Organisation or the ILO have collaborated to launch an implementation agreement which will improve the skills strategy of the sector, the quality of apprenticeship programmes, gender-sensitive career progression maps, and the capacity of MBAM as a sector skills body. With the Malaysian construction industry facing shortage in skilled workforce, this partnership is said to enhance the institutional mechanisms and policies that will strengthen the sector’s growth

IIM convocation: Future of India depends on better education, says President Kovind

In his address during the fifth convocation of the Indian Institute of Management or IIM Jammu, President Ram Nath Kovind said, “I am happy that IIM Jammu, IIT, Jammu, AIIMS, are providing integrated courses in which students of one institute can take advantage of other institutes. The synergy between courses and institutions is the aim of the National Education Policy 2020.” The convocation ceremony award 214 degrees, out of which 77 were awarded to girls. He encouraged educational institutions to include the surrounding towns and villages in order to utilise the people’s potential. He also inaugurated the diversity cell of IIM Jammu.
