BHU Soft-skill program commences on March 25

The Banaras Hindu University, Indian Institute of Technology has announced that they will be organising a soft skill program by the Training and Placement Cell of the institute starting March 25th and will go on till April 22. This program will have six key themes – leadership excellence, effective time management, effective teamwork, career development guidance, and effective project management, all conducted online. All those who enrol will learn the best practices, key concepts, and practical tools that will improve leadership excellence skills. They will also be given background knowledge as well as practical models that can help in prioritizing and decision-making. Read more.

Experts at Crypto Conclave discuss talent gap in blockchain

Crypto Experts gathered on Tuesday in New Delhi at the Business Today Crypto Conclave 2022 where panelists addressed the issue regarding the existing demand-supply talent gap in the blockchain technologies and ways the country can tackle this. The Chief Growth & Strategy Officer of Tech Mahindra, Jagdish Mitra, said, “We have to build our own talent pool with the help of academia because there is no ready pool outside to dip into.” “If you look at the crypto workforce today, 5-30 per cent is in tech (engineering and product) roles. Almost 70-90 per cent are outside. That’s the big difference,” added Ajeet Khurana, crypto advisor, when talking about how crypto, unlike IT, offers opportunities in non-tech jobs too. Rajan brought it to notice that the global blockchain industry is to be a $3 trillion industry in the next five years. AWS Report reveals that 95% of Indian workers believe they need more digital skills 

Amazon Web Services, Inc. or AWS commissioned a research report, named ‘Building Digital Skills for the Changing Workforce’ revealing that 95% Indian workers express the need to be trained in digital skills in order to cope with the changes came about in their jobs as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. According to this report that was prepared AlphaBeta, Indian workers that require digital skills will increase by over 27.3 million. After surveying 303 employers, and 1,012 digitally skilled workers in tech and non-tech, from private, public, and non-profit sectors, the report was also able to find that the skill of using cloud-based tools, followed by technical support skills and cybersecurity skills, will be the most in-demand skill that employers will require by the year 2025. Read more.
