Telengana Governor encourages students to be ready for competitive job market by developing skills with regular practice
The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University or JNTU in Hyderabad conducted a Mega Job Fair, having Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Governor of Telangana, as the chief guest. Inaugurating the job fair, Soundararajan strongly urged the students to develop and improve skills with regular practice. She said, “It is vital that the students must strive to master different skills and improve their employability opportunities to be ahead in the highly competitive job market.” In order to support better job opportunities, the Governor has also demanded an interface between industry and academia so that students are equipped with internships as well as industry-related experience. Need To Indianise Education System: Vice President
M Venkaiah Naidu, the Vice President of India, inaugurated the Rishihood University in Delhi, where he addressed the students regarding the need to ‘Indianise’ our education system. He suggested that with the country having immense wealth of ancient wisdom, heritage, tradition, and knowledge, the colonial education system must be done away with and there needs to be a transformation that is value-based, as intended by the National Education Policy 2020. In order to transform the education landscape, Naidu suggests an all-round improvement where research quality, teaching at all levels, employability of graduates, and rankings by international agencies need to be upgraded. To achieve the goals and visions of the NEP, students and teachers need to work together to create and promote holistic learning where traditions can be revived and India can emerge as a global hub of innovation, learning and intellectual leadership.
