Dharmendra Pradhan: NEP to make the youth future-ready

Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister for Education, has announced that the education sector is expected to be going through unprecedented transformations while addressing the 26th convocation of National Institute of Industrial Engineering or NITIE in Mumbai, virtually. He mentioned that the National Education policy which was introduced last year intends to prepare the youth of the country to be socially aware, future-ready, global citizens. “I urge you to focus on synergising technology and knowledge and develop a model of inclusive innovation that leads to society’s inclusive and holistic growth. Ministries and Education Institutions joins hands to education employment oriented

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and seven national education institutions are launching a joint campaign so as to shape a new format of learning and education in order to gain employment oriented results. The ministry of Education, along with NCERT, CBSE, AICTE, UGC, and higher education departments have joined this initiative where skill, employable education, and language learning will be given priority in the syllabi of schools and colleges. By promoting manufacturing, production, and research in the country, this move will also encourage the youth to be a part of the self-reliant India. Read more.

Sector Skill Council launches paralegal course

Skill India has co-certified and online course, ‘Paralegal Associate – Legal documentation’, launched by the Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council or the MEPSC and LawSikho, a legal ed-tech startup. This course is applicable for those who have completed Class 12 or any other equivalent course. It has been classified as a level 4 course by the National Skill Qualification Framework from the Ministry of Finance and aims to give training on high-demand tasks like legal writing, litigation support, legal editing and proofreading, compliance-related work, knowledge management, legal blog management, etc. The candidates will also be able to assist lawyers and law firms from the US as this course also provides extensive training on the US legal system as well.
