A meeting held at the Udhampur District Skill Committee, aimed at discussing the latest developments in Skill Training, Skills Availability and analysing the gap. Chairman Dr Piyush Singla urged the various departments to strategize on vocational courses based on the demand and current supply in skill training to employees and stakeholders. Owing to the changing Labor Market, the DCC also asked for the direction of Lieutenant Governor to be complied to and vocational activities to be based on farm and nonfarm skills development.
Promotion of Local Arts and Crafts was also on the agenda at the meeting as respective departments were asked to formulate a plan of action to overcome the gap in relevant skill development.
