The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) organized a webinar on “Gender in School Education and Gender Concerns in National Education policy 2020.” The webinar was held on 7th November, in association with the Centre for Women Studies, University of Jammu.

During the webinar, Anuradha Gupta, the Director of DSEJ stressed the importance of educating girls. Gupta also mentioned that the initiative of the Ministry of Education – the Gender Inclusion Fund, is to get rid of the gender parity gaps, and hence to witness a 100% enrolment of girls in school. Meanwhile the key speaker, prof. Vibuhati Patel took a further step and mentioned the dire need to provide equal education among children.
