Punjab takes measure to correct skill gap

The Punjab state government has taken measures to bridge the skill gap of the students passing out from state technical institutes and the present industry requirement. There are 6000 students across the 375 state-run colleges in the state.

The old-machineries and curriculum are not producing students well-equipped to meet the industry requirement. Concerned about the situation, the Punjab government has come forward to do course correction. The state will be also taking help from IIT Ropar to revamp its curriculum.
