Walchand PeopleFirst Ltd. (WPFL) joined hands with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to encourage the Indian participants for WorldSkills Competition 2019 which was held in Kazan, Russia. This was an initiative led by NSDC under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India. More than 1,300 budding professionals who were the face of 63 countries and competed in over 56 skills participated in the 45th WorldSkills Competition.
Indian contingent brought laurels to our country by winning four medals and 15 medallions of excellence, taking India to the 13th position. S Aswatha Narayana from Odisha won a gold medal in water technology, Pranav Nutalapati from Karnataka won a silver medal in web technologies, Sanjoy Pramanik from West Bengal won the bronze medal in jewellery and Shweta Ratanpura from Maharashtra won the bronze medal in graphic designing.

It was a three-day training session that was established on self-developing subjects like high-energy, self-motivation, open and supportive environment, fun and engagement and experiential learning. One to one coaching sessions were also arranged for each participant that worked on their stress, motivation, and focus.
This workshop helped the participants to inculcate skills that will make them emerge as a winner. The eminent team from Walchand PeopleFirst was the catalyst in the workshop. These three days led to the success in Kazan’19 which was a very enlightening and critical event for all the participants.
