Government offering progressive skill training in 12 courses to U.P. youth
The government has begun providing training in 12 courses in 7 various trades under the “New Age Course” in 29 Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) of the state, stated Kapil Dev Agarwal, state minister of vocational education and skill development, during the opening of a training session at the regional Staff Training and Research Center, Aliganj. Similar to that, he said, training for 4 courses in 3 sectors have begun at 15 state-run ITIs, and 3240 trainees would be trained annually. He emphasised that young people can become job producers as well as job seekers. He asserted that we must make the kids independent and employable by developing their skills. TN Skill Corporation collabs with 47 firms to catalyse skill development
On Monday, the Tamil Nadu Skill Corporation inked a Memorandum of Understanding with 47 firms to offer students world-class course materials to aid in the development of essential work skills. Under the state government’s “Naan Mudhalvan” programme for facilitating skill development and employability, an agreement was struck. During the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin also unveiled a special upskilling portal. He also opened a showcase of businesses that provide training, skill development, and courses in a variety of subjects and industries. The upskilling platform will provide courses on cutting-edge technologies like blockchain, IT programming, banking, and financial services, among others. The new portal’s features include a psychometric test, free skill-upgrading assistance, and reasonably priced modules for learning new technologies.
