The Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development or the SDMIMD in Mysuru has begun inviting applications from Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Library and Information Science graduates of the past two years for a one-year program, ‘Graduate Apprenticeship Trainees’, with Rs 9000 as a monthly stipend. The SDMIMD, recognised by the Board of Apprenticeship Training or the BOAT, MHRD, as an apprenticeship training center, will train BLISc graduates in a digital library, technology adaptation, and library administration, and BA graduates in office administration, technology tools in academic administration, and office administration. Qatar-India delegations hold JWG meetings for workers’ welfare
In order to better control the process of recruitment and integrate employment portals for workers’ welfare, the delegations from India and Qatar discussed Labour and Manpower Development in a Qatar-India Joint Working Group or JWG meeting, according to a press release by the Ministry of External Affairs. Chairing the meeting from the Indian side, Anurag Bhushan, Joint Secretary (OIA-I) from the Ministry of External Affairs, and from the Qatar side Mohammed Hassan Al Obaidli, the Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Affairs agreed that adopting an integrated approach is best for the workers’ well-being and welfare during the delegations. They also acknowledged that regulating the recruitment process and enhancing cooperation is the ideal resolution for the common concerns. The Qatari delegation also exchanged useful insights on how to go forward with co-operation in skills training and certification in their visit to the National Skill Development Corporation or the NSDC. SITA signs MoA with three educational institutes in Assam for innovative projects
The State Innovation and Transformation Aayog SITA has inked three MoAs with B Borooah College, Rangia College, and the Jawaharlal Nehru College in Assam to implement their respective innovative projects by providing logistical support that will contribute to the welfare of the society. The B Borooah College in Guwahati is taking up a project to upskill students by teaching them the Japanese language which will result in higher employability in the Japanese job market. The Rangia College has initiated the project ‘ex-situ cultivation of medicinal plants & conservation of rare & endangered plants-setting up the herbal garden’, with the purpose of raising awareness about how the establishment of herbal gardens can generate income, including R&D institutions for accelerating research and development of the subject, and encouraging farmers and researchers for patent rights. The Jawaharlal Nehru College in Boko is set to execute a project to carry out a survey that will analyze the need for robotics training in the government provincialized schools of Kamrup (metro) & Kamrup district.
