Indian Army in J&K Launches Vocational Training Centre for Skill Development in Women
In order to fulfil the aim of enhancing the skill development in women, a vocational training centre has been launched by the Indian Army in J&K by the name of ‘Waadiyan Bakery Project’, specially for women in the Mangnar village of Poonch district. According to a recent tweet by an official source, “Indian Army launches a vocational training centre for women for ‘Waadiyan Bakery Project’ in Mangnar village of Poonch to enhance women skill development “The sales are being done in Delhi, Jammu, Pune& Mumbai; profits are given to women here,” said trainer Mehak Khursheed”. SKUAST-Jammu organises one-week vocational course under NAHEP-IDP
The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu has organised a one-week vocational course, ‘Application of computer and IT tools in improving learning and research efficacy of students’, under the guidance of the National Agricultural Higher Education Project-Institutional Development Plan or the NAHEP-IDP. This training course equipped 24 students from the university with ICT skills and techniques that included AI & ML, GEO AI, Web Designing, role of ICT in agripreneurship, fundamentals of automated tools, tool pack analysis, formation of mobile app, networking cyber security, ethical hacking, data processing and statistical analysis, etc. Read more.
Achievements of Apprentices celebrated with National Apprenticeship Week 2022
The National Apprenticeship Week 2022, the objective of which is to promote as well as celebrate the benefits of apprentices to employers and learners, used the theme ‘Build the Future’ for the second time. With more than 1,200 events across England, the week puts in the spotlight the businesses that invest in apprenticeships. “Apprenticeships offer people of all ages the chance to earn while they learn and build a successful career, while also delivering the skilled workforce this country needs to build back stronger,” said Nadhim Zahawi, the Secretary of State for Education.
