If you thought an intern and an apprentice are the same, think again. Glassdoor’s article outlines six reasons why, although both give hands-on training, they are different. For one, apprenticeships are quite uncommon, except in Europe. Internships are available readily for school and college students. Although internships may pay better, apprenticeships are longer-term and give apprentices targeted hands-on training: all reasons for youth to search for and apply to these coveted positions.
The kicker? Most apprentices ultimately land a job. So stop thinking they’re both the same and look for the role that suits you best.
