30 transgender students get skilled and employed

30 transgender students have received their skill training course certification, after taking the course at the Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA). Their enrolment was done through Sudar & Thozhi, an NGO that works for the welfare of the transgender community. The Prof CK Prahlad Centre also helped coordinate with the NGO to help the community. The classes went on for a total of three months with active classes on the weekends. The classes took off with basic computer skills and administration functions. The students were then taught accounting software, such as Tally. Successful completion helped place the students at Greater Chennai Corporation and Chennai Metro Rail Limited as employees. In-demand technical skills for 2021

The pandemic has again brought classes to a halt as the University of Delhi suspends all its classes immediately. The suspension took place from 4th-16th May 2021. The sudden suspension was a result of the surge in Covid-19 cases. Students should look at efficiently utilizing the time they are getting off from their classes and learning in-demand technical skills. They have a wide range of options like AI and machine learning, Blockchain, mobile and web development, UI/UX design, and digital marketing.
