15 universities under DSEU starting this September

Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) will begin this September. The session will focus on building talent and skills for students. 15 already existing government institutes and colleges have been merged to make this possible. Some of the 15 are, Delhi Institute of Tool Engineering, GB Pant College of Engineering, Integrated Institute of Technology. Currently, the construction of the World Skill Centre at Pushpa Vihar and redevelopment of the DESU campus is happening. The campus should be fully functional for the upcoming session starting from September 6. 6,000 students will be enrolled in the first round of DSEU. 12 job-oriented bachelor programs will be offered at DSEU. TEPL signs MoU with SASTRA University

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) has collaborated with SASTRA University. They will focus on developing deep domain expertise. Skill enhancement will be offered in the field of electronics design and manufacturing. Asia University and Yuan Ze University are also part of the collaboration offering skill training. The agreement mainly involves students in the two-year MTech degree in Very Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) design. Their one year will take place at the SASTRA campus in Thanjavur and the second year in either Asia University or Yuan Ze University in Taiwan. TEPL and SASTRA University will co-create the course curriculum. Financial support for overseas education and training may also be made available. Read more.


Vizag Steel Plant offers a one-year stipendiary apprenticeship

Vizag Steel Plant is offering a one-year stipendiary apprenticeship. Those eligible would be ITI pass candidates with NCVT certificates. 319 apprenticeships have currently received their offer letter from Vizag Steel Plant. The apprenticeship includes computer operator and programming assistant, mechanic diesel, mechanic refrigeration, and air conditioning, carpenter, electrician, welder, machinist, turner, fitter and other trades. The official website will carry all the information regarding the date for submission and application forms. The monthly stipend will be ₹7700 for welder, carpenter, mechanic diesel and computer operator trades and ₹8050 for other trades. A computer-based test will be the selection process and will carry objective type multiple-choice questions. Read more.
